Hello 3rd Trimester!

It seems somewhat unbelievable to us, but Monday, 6/6 officially marked the beginning of my 3rd trimester!  Baby Savage is going to be here before we know it... and there's still SO MUCH to do! 

Here are some quick statistics on his progress (and Shelly's!) for week 27:

1. Baby weight: 2+ pounds!  He's becoming a big boy.

2. Baby length (head to toe): 15 1/4 inches.  Holy cow!  It's crazy to think that there's a baby over a foot long inside of my belly.  How AMAZING!  I can certainly feel him moving/kicking/karate chopping me now.

3. Week 27 milestone:  The delicate layers of our little baby's retinas should be fully developed this week, so he will begin to open his eyes for the very first time!  Time for daddy to make some animal shadows on mommy's belly with the flashlight :)

4. Fun Fact: My uteris is the size of a basketball this week!  Whoa.  I'm wondering how much bigger it can get??
