Happy 8 Months, Natalie Rose!

Our baby girl turned 8 months old yesterday, which is hard to believe.  She commemorated the occasion by sitting up in her crib for the first time.  I'm still not sure how she did it (I've never seen it happen before!) but I couldn't help but smile when I walked into her room and saw her smiling face beaming over the rail.  I called downstairs for Jeff to come up and see her milestone.  She was obviously VERY excited about her achievement and kept throwing her arms up and down!  Such a sweet baby.  This also means that it's time to lower the mattress.  I can't believe that we're already to that point!  Where is time going?!

To celebrate her monthly birthday, I took a ridiculous amount of photos (as usual), and I thought I'd post a few here.  Let it be known that I'm not just posting the few where she's smiling.  Nope, she smiles for 98% of them.  Seriously.  Natalie is the happiest baby I have ever known.  I'm so glad that she's mine :)

Here's what she's been up to:

-Sitting up by herself.
-Wants to crawl, but doesn't get much past a quick moment on all 4's.
-Sprouted two, cute little teeth on the bottom at 7.5 months
-Is chewing on EVERYTHING!
-Smiles nonstop and thinks her brother is hysterical.
-Still isn't crazy about eating solid foods... I think she's going to be our picky eater.
-Speaking of solids, here's what we've tried:
   -Fruits: apples, pears, bananas (pears are her favorite - she hated the bananas!)
   -Vegetables: carrots, sweet potatoes, squash, peas, spinach, potatoes (only will eat the orange
    veggies now! We're in trouble.)
   -We've also done oatmeal and those little 'melts'... Natalie gives a thumbs-up on the cereal, a
    thumbs-down on the melts.
-Still taking somewhat irregular naps, but she typically sleeps twice a day for at least 1 hour.
-Bedtime is between 7:30 - 8:00pm.  She's sleeping until 7:30am now, which  makes mommy & daddy VERY happy :)
