Well guess what? The week that Jeffrey was born, my african violet flowered. And not just a few flowers - a lot of flowers! I think it was so happy that a baby was coming home that it smiled :)

Bloomin' for Jeffrey
I bought this african violet over 8 years ago when I was a senior in college. (Oxford Kroger - yeah!) By some miracle, I've managed to keep it alive all of this time (probably because it requires very little water), although it hadn't flowered in probably 2 years. A few months ago, I decided to put it in the nursery to liven things up a bit.
Well guess what? The week that Jeffrey was born, my african violet flowered. And not just a few flowers - a lot of flowers! I think it was so happy that a baby was coming home that it smiled :)
